The summit, held in Belfast, Northern Ireland at various venues across the city from October 2-5, 2023, was a gathering of young leaders from around the world, aiming to address global challenges. During the Food Crisis Plenary, Forte delivered an impactful address that highlighted the alarming over-reliance on synthetic chemicals in agriculture—95% of agricultural products used globally—and his mission to ensure access to clean, nutrient-rich food through Red Diamond Compost. In just the last five years, his company has positively impacted the lives of over 5,000 individuals through sustainable practices and education.

Forte's speech, introduced by One Young World counsellor and UNHDR representative Kat Graham, captivated attendees, driving home the urgent need for change in food production systems. With the support of the Audi Environmental Foundation team and fellow young leaders like Caribbean Ambassador Kurba Marie, Forte's presence at the summit underlined his commitment to global sustainability.
Beyond his plenary participation, Forte engaged in a pre-summit session hosted by the Audi Environmental Foundation, connecting with a diverse network of scholars and environmental advocates. He also attended a workshop on Public Affairs & Lobbying led by Bureau Elody, which further shaped his perspective on business operations and stakeholder engagement.
"It's amazing to witness the collective drive for change at One Young World," Forte continued. "The summit was not just about speeches—it was a convergence of ideas, connections, and solutions. The energy and support were incredible, and I'm excited to continue this journey alongside my global peers."
Looking ahead, Forte is eager to reconnect with the One Young World community at future events, including the 2025 summit, where he plans to share updates on Red Diamond Compost's Journey to 1000 Acres Initiative—a project aiming to restore degraded land with sustainable farming practices.
